One of the most popular internet marketing strategies today is using social media to acquire new prospects. And for good reason. Social media is fun and easy for almost anyone to use.

Just recently, I was on Elance.com searching for a few things when I came across a social media service being offered by what looked like a 16 to 18 year old girl.

Even more recently, I was watching an interesting presentation on a DVD I managed to get my hands on.
These 2 social media guys, both in their 20’s, revealed brilliant strategies for really boosting your social media marketing. They are just in their 20’s and they are raking in serious money every month using social media.
So the power of having a social media strategy is manifestly obvious. The ability of social media to make any story go viral is magnificent to say the least.
However, marvelous as it is, social media marketing is not a get rich quick scheme. It takes the right mindset and the right effort on a consistent basis to reap substantial results.

Of all the internet marketing strategies that exist, leads generation is my favorite. In my opinion, it is the most powerful strategy that you can use.
The wonderful thing about it is that you can use it in conjunction with any of the other internet marketing strategies revealed on this website. What do I mean?
Well, to answer that, let’s look at the definition of leads generation. Leads generation is the process of acquiring qualified prospects who have expressed interest in what you have to offer.
Once you acquire those prospects, you can educate them thoroughly about the benefits of buying your products.
Eventually, many of them will decide to buy from you. Some will buy on the first day. Others will buy after 2 weeks and others after 3 months.
So when you use leads generation in your online business, you get to sell your products to people who would have never bought from you if you had sent them straight to a sales page without collecting their contact details.
That’s the power of leads generation. In the long term, you sell more because not everybody is ready to buy from you today.
Think about it. How likely is it that on the day you decide to advertise your product, your entire market is ready to buy? Highly unlikely I would suggest.
So what I mean when I say you can use leads generation in conjunction with other internet marketing strategies is that you can use those strategies to get leads rather than make sells.
For example, you can use blog marketing to build your list of qualified leads. You can also use social media, mobile marketing, Kindle and all forms of content marketing for that purpose.
